Silje is my name. . .
But for the most part I go by my nickname Bippermom. Maybe not so strange since Bipper, my business Start-Up, takes up a lot of my time. … I envisioned Bipper, I live Bipper and every night I still dream about Bipper and what I want the company to accomplish..
It’s not unusual that I, full of energy, storm into the office in the morning and get all my colleagues into the conference room to tell them about an idea I just dreamt about … Thankfully, they keep up with me, but I’ve also got a fantastic Bipper team in place!
International peace work
I’ve really always been an Entrepreneur – but for voluntary and non-profit projects and organizations – and never in the business world. Nobody, (including myself) would ever imagine that I would end up establishing a mobile company. I had no technology expertise (or interest for that matter), and planned a career in international peace work. It was there I felt at home, and it was within these areas that I had worked since my teens:
I started up youth projects and organizations, arranged conferences and events, worked at soup kitchens for drug addicts and homeless, I was a student delegate at international conferences. I also initiated and was editor of the book, “Do you have 2 seconds?” in addition to various other commitments and duties.
Through this work I have had the opportunity to work and debate with wonderful people who have inspired me and supported the projects I have initiated, together with others; the Dalai Lama, Anita Roddick, Frederik Willem De Klerk, Arne Naess, Queen Noor of Jordan, Vaclav Havel and many many more.
Bringing idealism into business
All my previous engagements and projects with wonderful people – both known and unknown – were bound together by idealism and a vision for a better world. This makes me think of business and industry in a slightly different way than most.
I strive to be a social entrepreneur – at least as far as possible in an industry that is otherwise very commercial. With Bipper, we will certainly do everything we can to create a company where the focus not solely is to create the highest possible return for shareholders, but for society as a whole. And especially for children and youth nationally and globally.
I can’t wait to continue my idealistic work and initiate some of the thousands of projects and ideas that have emerged during my nearly two decades (time flies….) as an idealist.
Now with Bipper’s support!
My Blog is about life as a founder and everything that evolves around being a mother of 3 kids and a company.

>Here here! I have enjoyed reading your blogs and I'm sure that you mean well, however media rarely write good promotional stories unless it benefits them. I will download your app here in the UK and try it here. As a disabled person and a parent it will hopefully benefit both my son and I.
